How I stay organized as a blogger + free printable

From working, to walking the dog, to cleaning the house, trying to have a social life, the list is endless. With so much going on it can be so hard to get your life organized and get everything done. When I first started blogging I struggled to find the right balance between working full time and trying to run my hobby.

Right now I am not working so it is a lot easier for me to run my blog, but I still have plenty of stuff to do every day, so sometimes I can get caught up and don't always get chance to sit down and write a blog post. I've learned how beneficial it is to keep to a regular schedule (right now I aim to post every Tuesday and Thursday) but sometimes that doesn't always go to plan, that's why I always like to be organized, that way I'm always more productive. Keep a calendar
Having a goal time to complete something always is beneficial, creating deadlines for yourself to get things done will usually result in you getting them done. Sometimes when you're so busy with tasks and appointments they can get jumbled up in your head, having things written down gives you a clear representation of deadlines.

Always keep your calendar where you can see it every morning, whether it's a calendar on your phone or a calendar on your fridge, keep it in sight!

Use scheduling apps
For bloggers our work isn't done after we hit publish. We need to promote our hard work. So using a scheduling app like 'Hootsuite' can help you to make sure that you don't forget to share your blog post on your social media platforms. A lot of us bloggers put work into our social media accounts such as instagram, twitter and facebook in order to gain exposure for our blog. Just the same as blogging social media requires to be updated on a schedule in order to gain the best results, using a scheduling app will allow you to do this without having to be on your phone 24/7, spend an hour or so scheduling all your posts for the week and then that frees up some time during the week!

Break down big projects
If you know you have a big blog post to write next week and the thought of it is a little daunting, try breaking it down into smaller steps, for example:

- Saturday- Take blog post photographs
- Sunday- Edit photos
- Monday- Write blog post

Breaking things down into smaller steps can help a task feel a lot more achievable.

Making lists
Oh the amount of lists I make daily, from grocery lists, blog post ideas, things to do, the lists never end. But they are the main tool that keep me organized. There's something about physically checking things off your to do list, you feel SO productive! 

Prioritizing  your list can help decrease procrastination because you know the main tasks you need to complete that day.
