Drugstore products your make-up bag needs

It feels like the longest time since I have written a beauty post about make-up! Finding holy grails at the drugstore involves taking a risk, but it feels like a serious accomplishment when you find a great product!

Luckily drugstore make-up is affordable so it's not as disappointing as buying high-end make up only to find out that it was a big waste of money. I'm here to save you from purchasing disappointing products and lead you straight to the good stuff. These are just a few of the drugstore products that you should probably put in your make-up bag right now.

1. Milani Baked blushes

For the longest time I had no idea where to buy Milani make up in Canada, but boy was I happy when I stumbled across it at my local grocery store. My attention was immediately drawn to their beautiful blush selection, so naturally these were the first products I tried. I was so desperate to try the shade 'Luminoso' but not once have I seen it in stock! So I picked up 'Dolce Pink' and 'Corallina'. I don't know if I should say it but these little babies may possibly be the only blush I'll buy again. They are so incredibly pigmented and only shimmer (Amen for no glitter).

2. Infalliable pro matte foundation

After I tried the L'oreal Pro glow foundation (you can see my review here) I knew I had to try the Pro-matte foundation. Most of the time I am not a lover of matte foundations they dry my skin out and feel too heavy. This foundation claims to be demi matte, 24 hr wear, medium coverage and air light texture. For me it was very matte, I honestly wouldn't know if its 24hr wear, I've never in my life worn make-up that long.. I would go insane. The coverage for me was between medium and high, I found it pretty easily to build up, and the one thing I 100% agree with is that this foundation is air light! It didn't feel like a regular matte foundation and was definitely breathable. One thing I will say is that all the shades seem to have a yellow undertone, which I personally like but if you have pink skin undertones then this may not be the right foundation for you.

3. NYX micro brow pencil

It's a serious struggle to find great drugstore brow products. I love pencils but most of the time drugstore pencils are too chunky. This micro brow pencil from NYX is so precise and easy to blend, I can positively say that this is my go to brow product, I personally find it so much easier than powder or pomades. I also heard this was a dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz.. but you didn't hear it from me.

4. Maybelline Fit me concealer

When I heard this was a dupe for the Nars creamy radiant concealer I had to get my hands on it. This concealer is a great product for it's price. It provides great coverage, it most likely is not as long lasting as the Nars concealer but still a great alternative.

5. Rimmel Oh My Gloss

This is actually the lipgloss I wore on my wedding day. It claims to have up to 6hrs wear, but with all the kisses, hugs and tears that day I'm not sure that I was the best judge on that. But I am a fan of the formula, most drugstore lipglosses are too sticky and god forbid if you buy a shimmer lipgloss, they turn out to be gloss with glitter chunks. This lipgloss is very comfortable on the lips and they have a pretty good range of colours.

I personally love trying out new drugstore products so I would love to know what your favourite finds are from the drugstore!
