Bridgette Bar - Calgary

This past Sunday my friend Madison had the incredible opportunity to do a collaboration with Amborella Floral in Calgray. Madison was in need of models for her wedding style photoshoot so she kindly asked Morgan and I. It was a great experience to model all of the stunning wedding bouquets and flower crowns. Thank you for to Amborella Floral for having us!

Nip + Fab Skincare Review

I'm always on the look out for new skincare products, not that these Nip+Fab products are new by any means but they are new to me. Most people are drawn to the Nip+Fab range due to Kylie Jenner's use of the skincare line, however I was more excited about the fact that it was from the founders of Rodial skincare.

Simple and Affordable ways to refresh your home for Summer

Hello, hello! Today I wanted to share with you 4 simple and affordable ways to refresh your home for summer! We recently purchased a sectional couch for our living room and it has made the biggest difference! We love the fact that it is a neutral colour, so it's pretty much a blank canvas to update through the transitions of the seasons.

An afternoon of High Tea at Stella Bean Sweets

This past Saturday my best friend Madison and I attended a High tea at Stella Bean Sweets to celebrate her graduation! Stella Bean Sweets has quickly become one of my favourite spots to grab coffee. Red Deer is really growing their coffee shop scene and I couldn't be happier!

Yes Way Frosé

Calling all my Rosé lovers! We're stepping up our rosé game today with Frosé, aka frozen rosé. I have to admit I've only just got back into rosé, for the longest time it just reminded me of my high school party days. I'm usually a red wine drinker but something more refreshing is needed in summer.

Summer Neutrals

Anyone who knows me knows I am always a fan of a neutral colour scheme, from my home to my personal style. We've been hit with some gorgeous hot weather recently, I'm not a lover of wearing shorts in the summer so I look more for light and comfortable dresses. This dress from Aritzia is so easy to wear in the summer time, it's perfect for a summer picnic, or if you live in Alberta - Stampede season, this dress would pair perfectly with a pair of cowboy boots.

5 things I loved in June

June has always been my favourite month, I might be a little biased since it is my birth month, but still! June was filled with plenty of celebrations, we finally sent off my permanent residence application, I celebrated my birthday with amazing people and plenty of champagne Jell-O shots, and we also celebrated our close friends graduation.

Currently crushing: Denim Coveralls

My favourite purchase recently has to be these denim coveralls, or dungarees, whatever you wish to call them, I've always been made fun of for calling them dungarees, mainly by my husband (Thanks babe).

The perfect summer tan - Top fake tanning tips

With summer in full swing there are plenty of events to attend, this past weekend we attended our close friends graduation party. We had plenty of rosé and sunshine! I don't know about you but I always feel more confident with a tan. However I'm not a strong believer of sitting in the sun too much so it's a lot easier to fake your tan. I have been using fake tan since I was about 14 so I have tried my fair share of fake tan as well as making many horrific mistakes along the way, hello tangerines instead of knees (I'm a poet and I didn't know it).

How to use cleansing oils in your skincare routine

I've recently added a cleansing oil into my skincare routine and I have been loving how well it works. I have normal to dry skin, so some cleaners can leave my skin feeling tight and my skin needs moisturizer instantly.

Affordable console table styling

When we moved into our new home in November we had an empty spot in the entryway that I couldn't figure out what to fill it with. Of course Homesense aka my second home came to my rescue. I managed to score an affordable console table. But know I had to fill it. I have to be honest I rearrange my console table all the time, so it doesn't always look like this, but I always have a few staples that I keep on it.

Exploring Alberta, epic views and why I haven't been blogging

Hello! Finally, i'm back blogging and it feels so great! Blogging has been put on the back burner for me since March. Oopsie. But I've had valid reason, my Husband and I to be honest have not had the best luck these past few months. As my friends and family know I moved to Canada back in 2013 with my parents. I met Morgan in 2014 a short while after I moved here and little did I know he would become my Husband.

How I stay organized as a blogger + free printable

From working, to walking the dog, to cleaning the house, trying to have a social life, the list is endless. With so much going on it can be so hard to get your life organized and get everything done. Night time skincare routine

Hello lovelies! Today I wanted to share my night time skincare routine, not going to lie to you guys, I seriously neglected my skincare for a good few weeks, I wouldn't take my make up off and I just couldn't be bothered to look after my skin. I have always been blessed with clear skin but it slowly started to catch up on me.

10 things you might not know about me

Happy Tuesday everyone! Technically it's my Monday (thank goodness for long weekends). I hope all my fellow Canadians had a great family day. We definitely had an unexpected weekend. Morgan and I officially adopted a beautiful dog named Popeye. I'm so excited to introduce him to you guys! You can meet him on my blog later this week. I got to thinking last week and realised I've never really shared that much about me on my blog. So today I wanted to share with you 10 things you might not know about me.

How to become a morning person

Anyone who knows me knows I'm no night owl, I can barely stay awake to watch a movie on a Friday night, just ask my husband. Getting in a workout and getting a head start on work before most people have started their day always makes me feel so productive. But how do you enjoy being a morning person when most of the time all we want to do is hit snooze over and over, skip the gym and barely have the time to eat a nutritious breakfast.

DIY affordable spring wreath

My first home DIY post seemed to go down pretty well, if you haven't seen it you can read it here. I wanted to come up with a quick and simple home decor DIY that anyone can make. Wreaths are a fantastic way to keep your home decor up to date with the seasons, whether it's Christmas, Spring, Halloween or Winter you can customize a wreath for every season.
This Spring wreath I made was very inexpensive and so incredibly easy to make.

5 affordable things to do this Valentine's day

If you're the Valentines Grinch you should probably stop reading at this point. With Valentines day fast approaching I wanted to share some affordable yet romantic things to do to celebrate. Morgan and I both love to spend Valentines day doing something small, I've never been a huge fan of the typical 'dinner at a swanky restaurant, lavish me with expensive jewelry, teddy bears and flowers' kinda gal. I'd choose a cozy night in, eating delicious food and wine any day.

So if you're looking for a little inspiration for something small yet romantic to do this Valentines day, keep reading...

Breakfast (and the whole day) in bed
Let me tell you.. if Morgan had the day off this Valentines day, we'd be doing this. Try cooking a delicious and romantic themed breakfast (champagne optional) and binge watching your favorite TV show or every rom-com on Netflix.

Go for a walk and talk
Honestly sometimes there is nothing more romantic than a walk or even a late night drive. Every time Morgan and I spend time going for a walk we have some of the best conversations and really gives a chance to talk freely. For you men out there..bonus points for packing a romantic picnic and maybe some roses.. girls love that s**t.

Bring the movies home
I live for movie nights at home! They're so much cheaper (hello.. when did a movie date start costing $50?!) and you can wear sweatpants. Try building a cozy fort together, rent the latest movie and stock up on the best movie snacks (no sneaking snacks in required).

Play a couples game
No I'm not talking sexual games (lets keep this PG). Morgan and I recently had an at home date night where we played this game. It was refreshing to turn off the TV and reflect on romantic memories. If you're not married you could totally customize the questions!

Cook dinner together
This can be way more intimate than going out for dinner, try cooking something fun like sushi or pizza. Add some wine into the mix and you've got the perfect night in.

How will you be spending Valentines day?

7 things I'll be spending more time on in 2017

I've always loved making goals.

In my opinion it's never too late to make some resolutions. I personally love resolutions, they make us aware of the fact that we want to make changes. One thing I love to do is write down my goals, writing your goals down and looking at them everyday is a fabulous reminder to work towards those goals everyday, whatever they may be.

The easiest IKEA hack; How to paint IKEA furniture

I'm pretty sure that the majority of households own some form of IKEA furniture, and why wouldn't you?! It's affordable and looks pretty damn decent for the most part. However one thing I am not a fan of is the lack of colours their products come in. I`ve slowly changed my interior colour scheme over the years (and thank goodness), and I realised that my brown Kallax shelving unit wasn't cutting it anymore. So that`s when I decided to transform it:

8 moments that made my 2016 the most special year yet

Twenty Sixteen.. it seems this was a rough year for many, and I have to admit 2016 didn't end the way I had imagined (the reason why I haven't blogged in what feels like a year) but the up's 100% made up for the downs, because 2016 was the biggest year of mine and Morgan's life so far.
